One Percent Improvements Compound

Massive results rarely come from massive singular actions. They come from finding hundreds of tiny improvements and letting them compound over time.

The math is striking: getting 1% better each day for a year makes you 37 times better by year's end. Getting 1% worse each day reduces you to nearly zero. Writing a page a day produces a book a year. The key is consistency, not intensity. Exponential growth feels flat at the beginning, which is why most people underrate it and give up too early.

This is also why systems beat goals. A goal is a one-time target; a system of marginal improvements is an engine that keeps producing results. The compound effect means that the gap between people who make slightly better daily decisions and those who do not grows enormous over time even though on any given day the difference is invisible.
